The Zentury was founded in 2017 by Sara Gmuer and Jion Blonstein. Jion Blonstein is a Zen master, coach, and end-of-life caregiver. Sara Gmuer is a writer and entrepreneur. For The Zentury, they collaborate with a network of yogis, artists, musicians and coaches. Among others with the Australian musician William Vyvyan Murray and violinist Iskandar Widjaja.
